Christian and Catholic conduct and beliefs have exerted major influence on the course of human events over the past two millenia and continue to exert major influence in the lives and environs of all who profess them fully today. Representations of history which fail to take cognizance of this fact are apt to produce malformed human character in those who search within them for history's lessons and strive to order their own existence in accord with what is learned from such documentary evidence! It is therefore very important for Christians to strive to form their own and their children's characters and consciences in accord with historical depictions of humanity and world civilization which highlight the Truths of faith and the true effects of Faith upon both human character and human culture.

Videos are an excellent media for spotlighting the eternal truths of the Christian faith and presenting them to each new generation in an attractive way. However, as very probably you will have already noticed, Christian themed documentary films and dramatic movies are not exactly mainstream fare, in the modern world. One simply does not often find, among top rated educational and historical films and newly released dramatic features, movies on DVD that highlight Christian and Catholic religious experience in intersection with history and culture. This fact of modern life can present a problem for those interested in finding, buying, watching, and fully “owning” the best in Christian and Catholic oriented educational entertainment and enrichment in video format. Nevertheless, there are still many sources for top notch Christian and Catholic inspirational, educational, and motivational films, and internet based online Christian video and DVD outlets are probably the best way to connect the interested buyer with top quality inspirationa educational entertainment

Christian and Catholic religious and spiritual DVDs , dramas and documentaries with Christian themes or morals, and religiously themed DVDs about historical persons and events can attract large audiences.  Many of the best of these have appeared in the past on major networks and been shown in movie theaters around the world.  Movies, religious DVDs, historical documentaries and dramas based on great men and woman in Christian history such as the saints of the Roman Catholic Christian tradition provide for maturing personalities an excellent means of absorbing a transforming world view while being thoroughly entertained at the same time. Great new religious movies and historical films released to DVD are being produced even for today's admittedly smaller home audiences.  One may find few if any examples of such top quality historical and inspirational fare in large chain bookstores, but educational and historically accurate documentary and feature films for Christian family entertainment do exist. The best inspirational and religiously themed Christian DVDs are readily available online, providing the consumer the advantage of shopping from home, and often affording the best discount prices that may be found.
